Over spring break, 24 members of the varsity and JV Baldwinsville baseball teams, as well as four coaches, traveled to sunny Orlando to participate in Disney's Spring Training at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

In their time there, mixed teams of varsity and JV players played a total of 10 scrimmages and finished with a 9-1 record against teams from the Northeast and Midwest.

The weather was perfect and players, coaches, and fans had their fill of games at the complex and fun at Disney parks and resorts.

From 2012 to 2019, the baseball program has participated in the Disney spring training event, which has promoted team bonding and chemistry and which has allowed for opportunities for practice and games outdoors, many times the first such opportunities of the year. In 2020, when COVID hit, the trips were suspended. No trips were taken in 2020, 2021, or 2022. This year was the return of the Disney spring training trip, and by all accounts, it was hugely successful.
