When the All-CNYCL (league) awards were announced at the Baldwinsville Baseball Booster Club Varsity-JV Banquet on Wednesday, June 7, several Bees baseball players found their way onto the league's first, second, or honorable mention teams.

Cameryn Williams and Jason Savacool earned 1st team honors, Zach Bush, Anthony May, and Carson Hayes earned 2nd team honors, and Frank Levanti, Cam Morrissey, and Jarrod Williams earned honorable mention honors.

C. Williams, a junior centerfielder, garnered his 1st team all-league award by leading the Bees' offensive attack while finishing first in average (.400), on-base-percentage (.475), hits (28), runs batted in (18), and stolen bases (15).  Williams was among the league leaders in all of these Williams also was extremely effective in the outfield, committing only one error and finishing with a .974 fielding percentage.  Williams had many critical hits throughout the season, which helped the Bees earn important victories.  Williams will return next year as a critical piece of the Bees' 2018 squad.

Savacool, a freshman pitcher in the starting rotation, earned his 1st team all-league award by having the team's best record at 6-1 and finishing first in wins (6), strikeouts (43), earned run average (1.68), WHIP - walks/hits per inning (.89), complete games (2), and opponent's batting average (.164).  All of this was done in 41.2 innings pitched.  Savacool was among the league leaders in many of these categories, as well.  Savacool's only loss came against Syracuse, where he pitched a two-hit game through 8 1/3 innings (extra-inning game), but earned the loss because he reached his pitch limit and left one runner on when he exited the game with one out; that runner scored later in the inning. Savacool returns for his sophomore season in 2018.

Bush, a senior, earned his 2nd team honors by hitting .312 for the Bees and finishing second in hits (24) and runs scored (15).  His on-base-percentage was .384.  Bush hit leadoff for the Bees and played left field.

May, a senior, garnered 2nd team for hitting .290 and finishing first on team in runs scored (21), second on the team in stolen bases (11), and third on the team in hits (20).  May's on-base-percentage was .375.  May hit third in the order and anchored the middle of the field at shortstop.

Hayes, another senior, was awarded 2nd team honors as a utility player, finishing second on the team in average (.328), on-base-percentage (.453), and walks (12).  His 20 hits tied for third on the team, while he was the only Bees player to hit a homerun during the year, as he hit clean-up for the team.

Three others earned honorable mention all-league.  Levanti, a junior third baseman, finished with a .271 average, 10 walks, and an on-base-percentage of .390.  J. Williams, a senior first baseman, led the team in walks (14), whie hitting .270 and having the third highest on-base-percentage (.397).  Morrissey, a senior starting pitcher, had big games against West Genesee and Liverpool, finishing 2-3 with a 1.27 WHIP, 3.36 earned run average, and an opponent's batting average of .233.

In addition to league awards, head coach Dave Penafeather announced the team's MVP (Most Valuable Player), as the team voted junior Cam Williams as the winner of the award.

Levanti also finished as the team's top QAB (quality at-bats) leader at 62%.  Senior pitcher Nate Valentine finished as the most accurate pitcher, throwing 66% strikes.
