On Monday afternoon, the Baldwinsville Bees varsity baseball team suffered a 5-0 loss to Liverpool at the Baker varsity field.
Starting pitcher Nate Valentine took the loss in five innings of work, while yielding three earned runs, nine hits, a walk and a hit-by-pitch, while striking out five. Ryan Carson and Casey Collins each pitched an inning without giving up a run.
Despite having runners in scoring position the first three innings, the Bees could not manufacture a run and finished with four hits by Anthony May, Carson Hayes, Cameryn Williams, and David Cerqua.
The Bees next play Liverpool at Liverpool on Tuesday afternoon.
