Played high school baseball at Cicero High School from 1971 to 1973. Graduated from Upper Iowa University in 1977. While at Upper Iowa University Coach Bader lettered in both football and baseball. He began his coaching career at Baldwinsville as the JV baseball coach in 1978. He was hired as a PE teacher in the Baldwinsville Central School district in 1979. He was the head varsity baseball coach from 1980 - 2006. His record over those 27 years stands at 304-258. His teams won 2 sectional titles(1994 and 2004) along with 4 league titles (1994, 1995, 1996 and 2002). He has continued to coach in the program since 2006 as an assistant coach.

Mark taught physical at McNamara Elementary School in Baldwinsville for 32 years. He also coached Football and Volleyball in the district. He is married to Debbie and still resides in Baldwinsville.
