Jack Baker '61

 

2015 Hall of Fame Class

 

 

Jack was a 1959-1961 member of the varsity baseball program in Baldwinsville.  In all three years, Jack was named a 1st team All-County selection.  In 1961, he won the Most Outstanding Baseball player award for Baldwinsville and in both 1960 and 1961 he won the Class of '39 Most Outstanding Male Athlete award for Baldwinsville.  Jack was also a multi-sport athlete who excelled at everything he did, being named the Most Outstanding Football Player in 1960 and 1961, starting on the 1961 championship varsity basketball team, being a member of the Baldwinsville track and field team, and according to the June 8, 1961 Messenger: "tried his hand at lacrosse, scoring one goal in the stickmen's final match of the season."
